♥ shelby ♥

i received a text as i was waiting at the bus stop, leaving the hospital. then a phone call comes in as i’m trying to respond to the text. the question is simple, “do you want a kitten?” who would turn down such an offer. especially when the kitten has Siamese markings. i can’t say “no” to blue eyes! so i hopped on the bus, trying to concentrate on my current book to read, (“Schindler’s List”). impossible. i kept thinking of kittens, kittens, kittens. oh, how they bring so much joy in the world. i stood outside and there she was, bundled in a blanket. i unwrapped her and fell in love immediately. her eyes are the same bright blue of Dalton’s. my beloved meezer. she had a nice warm bath and then i wrapped her up, and rubbed her fur until she was soft and fluffy. she’s still a little young so i’ve been helping her to eat and go to the bathroom. she ♥ cuddling in the crook of your arm or wrapped in a fleece blanket. and so i decided this morning that her name is Shelby, after Sheldon Cooper on “Big Bang Theory” (it’s one of my all time favorite shows). welcome Shelby.
